PROVANCE IT ASSET MANAGEMENT FEATURED IN MICROSOFT RAPID DEPLOYMENT PROGRAM
Only external party invited to provide materials and presentation to exclusive Microsoft early adopter community
“Receiving an invitation to work with this very exclusive and highly elite group of Microsoft customers is a powerful endorsement of our innovative work with the System Center platform,” said Gilles Lalonde, Provance CEO. “There is no higher compliment than to be given this level of access to the most trusted and respected influencers of Microsoft technology.”
Provance is the only third-party invited to provide an implementation theme for the Service Manager RDP. The Beta 1 version of the forthcoming Provance IT Asset Management Pack for Microsoft System Center Service Manager has been made available to all RDP participants. An accompanying customer lab comprised of supporting exercises will guide them through a series of business scenarios using the product. The theme will conclude with a live, interactive webcast with an open discussion about Provance IT Asset Management, a question and answer session, and further scenario demonstrations.
The Provance IT Asset Management Pack runs as a Process Management Pack within the forthcoming Microsoft System Center Service Manager 2010 to provide Software and IT Asset Management. The supplemental capability provided by the Provance IT Asset Management Pack allows Microsoft System Center customers to take control of IT costs, improve IT Service Management efficiency and reduce security and compliance risks. It extends Microsoft System Center Service Manager with additional functionality to manage the financial, contractual and organizational information necessary to support Software Asset Management, License Compliance, IT Asset Life Cycle Management, and more cost-effective and efficient IT Service Management.
MICROSOFT RAPID DEPLOYMENT PROGRAM (RDP)
RDPs (Rapid Deployment Programs) are designed to give a limited
number of select participants an early “sneak preview” of new
Microsoft technologies and an opportunity to influence product
capabilities by providing the development teams with feedback based
on real world experiences. For more information about Microsoft
RDPs, visit

RDP THEMES
To help support the integration of people, process and
technology and the successful deployment of Service Manager,
Microsoft is delivering a series of “Learning and Implementation
Themes” as part of the product RDP. Each theme includes
documentation, demos, blogs, customer labs and a “virtual chalk
talk” webcast.
