Provance Personnel Certified to ITIL Best Practices
Gatineau, QC, April 11, 2002 - Provance Technologies Inc., the leading provider of IT outsourcing management solutions, today announced that its Product Marketing, Client Delivery and Project Management teams have been certified to IT Service Management best practices defined by the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL).
ITIL is a framework for IT Service Management (ITSM) best practices that was developed in the UK and is being rapidly adopted as an industry standard around the world. ITIL certification provides the guiding principles required to address the needs of service support (day-to-day operation and support of IT services) and service delivery (long term planning and improvement of IT service provision).
ITIL developed out of the recognition that organizations are increasingly dependent on IT in order to satisfy their corporate goals and meet their business needs. This dependency requires that organizations strive to deliver high quality IT services in close alignment with their business objectives, while reducing the overall management and support costs over time.

The ITIL training and examination coordination was provided by StAY Technologies (www.staytech.com), an ITIL approved training organization. The exam was conducted by Loyalist College of Ontario (www.loyalistc.on.ca), the only accredited examination body in Canada.
