ACS Case Study (.pdf)
Affiliated Computer Services (ACS) is a leading U.S. federal government desktop outsourcing service provider. When the ACS Government Services Group was awarded the NASA Code R Outsourcing Desktop Initiative (ODIN) contract in July 2000, their goal was to efficiently deliver flexible IT services to multiple users while maintaining a high level of end user satisfaction.

“Provance’s product is so focused on our needs that virtually no customization was required to make it fit. This made it really fast and easy to get started.”

Dick Tighe, Project Manager, LMIT

Bell Canada Case Study (.pdf)
The Government of Canada’s Secure Channel Project is a world-leading e-government initiative managed by Bell Canada for Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC). The project team comprises a consortium of service providers, led by Bell Canada and referred to as Team BCE, who are working together to deliver the secure infrastructure required to support Canada’s e-government initiatives.

“We’ve cut our billing process from days to hours, and our reporting process from hours to minutes. Which means we can reallocate resources to add more value for our client. They are also fully aware of what assets are still outstanding, what has been received, and where assets sit in their individual life cycles. Reporting to the client is simple and easy to perform.”

Elisabeth Hansman, Director Program Office, Bell Canada

Canada Post Case Study (.pdf)
Canada Post sought to gain efficiencies with the implementation of Provance by better synchronizing the activities of multiple internal and external parties involved in various aspects of IT asset and services lifecycle management. Labor-intensive reconciliation of invoices from providers was making it difficult for Canada Post to align costs with actual services rendered. Furthermore, the company’s 500 cost center owners could not easily make cost-effective ITAM decisions without accurate and consolidated asset and cost information.

“Alignment of IT costs with business objectives, improved cost management and accountability and integration with corporate systems has provided Canada Post with the control, accountability and discipline necessary to support customer needs and respond to the changing demands of the market”

Ray Simard, GM Canada Post Corporation

CGI Case Study (.pdf)
CGI, a global IT Services firm, is managing over 3,700 server seats that form the backbone network for a large telecommunications client. This network of servers, managed by some 50 different server managers and distributed across 75 different sites throughout Canada, provides services to well over 30,000 desktops.

“In order to maximize the effectiveness of an automated tool, coherent and efficient processes must be established to support the tool. The personnel at Provance were very helpful in assisting CGI in developing these processes.”

Bob Chaisson, Director Consulting Services, CGI

Large Enterprise Asset Management Case Study (.pdf)
Recently, one of the world’s largest advanced technology firms decided to merge three of its independent businesses. Not only were these companies geographically dispersed across the United States, but each had its own procurement system and asset inventory tracking processes.

“They make sure we’re comfortable, not only with what they’ve learned about us and our challenges, but with how we’re going to go about dealing with these challenges. It’s a true partnership.”

Network Managed Services Case Study (.pdf)
An outsourcer’s billing and charge back capabilities can make or break their relationships with clients, regardless of the quality of their IT services. As with corporate IT departments, outsourcers are under increasing pressure to not only provide cost-effective enterprise IT services, but to give their clients greater visibility in to the charges associated with providing enterprise infrastructure services.

“Provance’s exceptional billing tool gave us information that was so accurate, that it is basically irrefutable.”
